Home PageOwls announce Tryout datesThe Grand Rapids Owls have announce their tryout dates for the coming 2010-11 season. Tryouts will take place August 13, 14 and 15 at the Patterson Ice Center, 2550 Patterson Ave Grand Rapids, MI. Camp is open to any players in the birth years 90,91,92,93 & 94. Camp cost are $125. Registration and sign-in will begin on August 13th at 4:30pm. Owls to Open Season at Home Versus Michigan Mountain Cats The Grand Rapids Owls will open the 2010-11 season at home on September 11th and 12th versus the Michigan Mountain Cats. The Owls will host the Cats Saturday the 11th with a 7:30pm start and on Sunday the 12th with the opening faceoff scheduled for 1pm. The Owls are looking forward to continue the trend of improvement from the 2009-10 season at the expense of the Mountain Cats (previously the Motor City Chiefs) who found themselves at the bottom of the standings at the conclusion of last season. The Cats, under new ownership, hope to reverse their fortunes of last season as well. Come out and support the Owls and see an exciting brand of hockey on opening night and this season.
